My name is Rebecca! I’m a poet, filmmaker and artist. My work takes the form of text-based installations, live performances and filmmaking across poetryfilm, music videos and experimental shorts. Themes of power, queerness, return, hope, impossibility and dreams flow through my practice. Most recently, I’ve loved writing about ethereal bodies, such as the story of angels and mermaids.
Throughout my practice, I’ve always loved working with water, I’ve filmed above (and under!) water at rivers, swimming pools and written scripts about finding an oasis in the deser. Bricolage poetry is a big part of my practice, I love creating new poems from old ones using bricolage and turning them into hand-made books.
Currently, I’m working on putting my words to music, exploring guitar riffs and soundscapes to enhance the meaning of the words.
